Empfindliche optische Instrumente auf Reisen - insbesondere im Gepäckraum eines Fliegers - brauchen Schutz und in keinem Behältnis sind Okulare, Ferngläser und Fernrohre besser aufgehoben als in einem Peli-Koffer.
Peli ist der Standardausrüster der Militärs weltweit und für den härtesten Einsatz gedacht. Die Koffer sind druckwasserdicht und aus praktisch unzerstörbarem Kunststoff gegossen. Die Schaumeinlagen lassen sich die Geräteformen beliebig anpassen. Die Schnallen sind ebenfalls so robust, dass ein versehentliches Öffnen praktisch ausgeschlossen ist.
Schutzkoffer von Peli sind hauptsächlich praktisch und ihr Design richtet sich nach der Funktion und nicht nach ästhetischen Gesichtspunkten. Wer hübsche Koffer sucht ist bei Peli falsch. Dafür können Sie ihre Instrumente unbekümmert im Kofferraum verstauen oder in einem Flugszeug aufgeben ohne sie sie ein rohes Ei behandeln zu müssen. Den geschlossenen Koffer bei einem Schlechtwettereinbruch auf einer Wiese stehen lassen ist genauso kein Problem wie ihn über Bord zu werfen und danach seine Okulare wieder heil aus dem Meer zu fischen. Apropos sind die gelben Koffer bei Nacht noch recht gut zusehen, ein Vorteil den man nicht unterschätzen sollte.
Fazit: Wer seine Instrumente liebt, der gönnt ihnen einen Peli-Koffer!
